Today (Monday) around noon, a training plane crashed in the field near Milestone College in Uttara, Dhaka.
Mahidul Islam, Deputy Police Commissioner of Uttara division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told, “I received news just five minutes ago that a training plane has crashed near Milestone College area. I am heading to the site to verify the situation.”
Lima Khanam, Duty Officer at the Fire Service control room, said,
“We received the news at 1:18 PM about the plane crash near Milestone College in Uttara. Three of our units are currently operating at the scene, and two more units are on the way. We do not have any further details at this moment.”
Some videos and images showing the aftermath of the crash have already gone viral on Facebook and other social media platforms. These visuals show several injured people around the wreckage, many of whom appear to have suffered burns.
No official confirmation has yet been made regarding fatalities or the extent of injuries. Rescue operations and investigations are ongoing.
