    A fire broke out at Cosmo School located in the Mirpur area of Dhaka on Wednesday (July 23) afternoon. The incident occurred near City Field, just off Mirpur Section 11 Main Road.

    Initial reports suggest that the fire originated in the school’s generator room. Two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the scene and began efforts to control the blaze.

    Thick smoke quickly spread throughout the five-story school building, creating panic among students, teachers, and nearby residents. Local people assisted in evacuating the students to safety.

    The fire service reported that no casualties have been confirmed so far. Once the fire is fully under control, the entire building will be inspected to ensure safety.

    The operation to extinguish the fire was ongoing at the time of reporting.
